Why I started writing about products in public
A short note on why this section exists and what to expect. Spoiler: no storytelling, just teardowns of how I close the owner's problem.
nikam.dev is a portfolio, not a lead-gen funnel. So this section isn’t “how I rewrote the backend in Rust” — it’s how exactly the solution helped the owner.
Each post is a teardown of one case: what hurt, what I closed, what the owner actually got. No storytelling, no compressed timelines, no “shipped an MVP in one evening”. If shipping took three days, that’s what I’ll write. If the work hit a broken partner API, I’ll write about the API too.
Same section will host short engineering notes: where I was wrong, which hypotheses turned out to be junk, what I won’t do again. Future clients learn more from those than from the polished happy-ending stories.
